Your journey begins as you touch down in Chengdu, the famous hometown of the Giant Panda. Upon arrival, our driver will greet you comfortably and transfer you to your hotel. As you drive through the city, you’ll get your first glimpse of this relaxed metropolis, known for its lush greenery and laid-back lifestyle. Rest up and get ready for an amazing adventure!
Start your morning early at the Chengdu Panda Base to see the adorable giant pandas when they are most active—crunching on bamboo and climbing trees. Later, immerse yourself in Chengdu’s culture at People’s Park: sip a cup of local tea at a historic teahouse while watching locals play Mahjong. End the day wandering through the Qing-dynasty courtyards of Kuanzhai Alley and tasting spicy local snacks at Kuixinglou Street.
Travel to Dujiangyan to marvel at the Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Heritage site built over 2,000 years ago that still functions today. Afterward, step into a fantasy world at Zhongshuge, famous for its mirrored ceilings and “Inception-like” bookshelves, and take a selfie with the giant “Selfie Panda” at Yangtianwo Square. As night falls, witness the breathtaking “Blue Tears” at Nanqiao Bridge, where the river glows in a magical turquoise hue.
Step back 3,000 years in time at the Sanxingdui Museum, home to the mysterious “alien-like” bronze masks and the golden sunbird. Returning to the city, enjoy the spiritual serenity of Wenshu Monastery and the industrial-cool art vibes at Eastern Suburb Memory. In the evening, stroll through the lantern-lit Jinli Ancient Street, a perfect spot to hunt for souvenirs and soak up the romantic atmosphere of old Shu.
Today is yours to discover! You might choose to shop at the trendy Taikoo Li and see the climbing panda sculpture at IFS, or visit the Chengdu Museum for more history. For the adventurous foodies, we highly recommend trying an authentic Sichuan Hot Pot for dinner. Enjoy the freedom to wander the city’s charming streets at your own pace.
