Private Tour
Go beyond the basics with this immersive 5-day Chengdu itinerary. We combine the “Must-sees” (Giant Pandas and Sanxingdui) with unique cultural experiences. You will not only see the history at the Dujiangyan Irrigation System but also taste it at the Sichuan Cuisine Museum with unlimited snacks. The tour culminates with a deep dive into local life: watching Sichuan Opera, tasting famous Zhong Dumplings, and exploring the vibrant Night Markets.
Upon arrival in Chengdu, our private driver will transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the city at your own leisure and recover from jet lag.
Morning: Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Pandas to see the adorable giant pandas and red pandas in their natural habitat. Afternoon: Drive to Guanghan to explore the Sanxingdui Museum. View the mysterious 3,000-year-old bronze and gold artifacts that challenge our understanding of history. Evening: Enjoy a Specialty Sichuan Hot Pot Dinner to taste the authentic local flavor (spicy or non-spicy options available).
Morning: Visit the Sichuan Cuisine Museum. The highlight is experiencing the traditional bean paste making process and enjoying Unlimited Tastings of various authentic Sichuan snacks. Mid-Day: Stop by the Zhongshuge Bookstore, famous for its surreal, mirrored architecture (Instagrammable spot). Afternoon: Tour the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an ancient engineering marvel that is still in use today. Late Afternoon: Walk through the Guan County Ancient City, visiting the South Bridge and West Street to enjoy the riverside breeze. Return to Chengdu in the evening.
Morning: Stroll through the historic Kuanzhai Alleys (Wide and Narrow Alleys) to see the well-preserved courtyards. Cultural Show: Visit Liyuan Theater to watch a traditional Sichuan Opera featuring the famous “Face Changing” performance. Lunch: Enjoy a set meal featuring the famous Zhong Dumplings and other local delicacies. Afternoon: Visit Wuhou Shrine and the adjacent Jinli Ancient Street. We will take an in-depth cultural tour inside the Wuhou Shrine complex to explore the fascinating history of the Three Kingdoms and the legendary Zhuge Liang. Evening: Visit a popular Night Market (e.g., Qingyang West Street) to experience the vibrant local nightlife.
