Experience the full magic of Hunan on this comprehensive 6-day private tour. We go beyond the basics, taking you to walk on the world-famous Glass Bridge and explore the underground wonder of Yellow Dragon Cave. You will stand in awe of the “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” and the legendary Heaven’s Gate. What makes this tour unique is the “Slow Travel” pace through two distinct ancient towns: witness the waterfall cascading through Furong Town at night, and get lost in the romantic lights of Fenghuang Ancient Town. Upon your arrival at Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport or Railway Station, our private driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Relax and recharge for the adventure ahead. You can explore the local pedestrian street in the evening to try some spicy Hunan cuisine.
Today, we enter the core of the park. Take the Bailong Elevator up to Yuanjiajie to see the “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” and the “Number One Bridge under Heaven.” Afterward, descend to stroll along the beautiful Golden Whip Stream, where clear water flows between towering peaks and wild monkeys play in the trees.
Test your courage on the world’s longest and highest Glass Bridge at the Grand Canyon! Walking on transparent glass 300 meters above the valley is a heart-pounding experience. In the afternoon, explore Yellow Dragon Cave, a massive karst cave featuring an underground river and the famous “Magic Needle” stalagmite.
Take the world’s longest cable car up to Tianmen Mountain. Walk the cliff-hanging paths and witness the magnificent Tianmen Cave. In the afternoon, we drive to Furong Town, an ancient town hanging over a waterfall. Stay overnight here to see the magical night view when the waterfall and village are illuminated.
Enjoy a peaceful morning in Furong Town before driving to Fenghuang (Phoenix) Ancient Town. This is arguably China’s most beautiful ancient town. Check into your boutique hotel, stroll along the Tuojiang River, see the stilt houses (Diaojiaolou), and immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife and folk culture.
Spend your final morning capturing the misty river scenes of Phoenix. Depending on your schedule, our driver will transfer you to Fenghuang Railway Station (for high-speed trains) or drive you back to Zhangjiajie Airport/Station for your departure.
