Chengdu
Private Tour
This 6-day itinerary is the most efficient way to explore Sichuan’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. We start in Chengdu with Giant Pandas and the mysterious Sanxingdui Museum. Then, unlike traditional tours, we whisk you away on the High-Speed Train to the plateau, cutting travel time in half. You will spend a full day exploring the turquoise waters of Jiuzhaigou National Park and hike the golden calcium pools of Huanglong. A free day in Chengdu allows you to relax or shop before departure.
Welcome to Chengdu! Our driver will meet you at the airport or train station and transfer you to your hotel. Rest up for the adventure ahead.
Morning: Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Pandas to see the pandas at their most active time. Afternoon: Explore the Sanxingdui Museum in Guanghan to witness the alien-like bronze masks of the Ancient Shu Kingdom. Late Afternoon: Transfer to the railway station for a High-Speed Train ride (approx. 1.5-2 hrs) to Huanglongjiuzhai or Songpan Station. Upon arrival, our local driver will transfer you to your hotel in Chuanzhusi or Jiuzhaigou.
All Day: Immerse yourself in Jiuzhaigou Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as a “Fairyland on Earth.” Hop on the eco-bus to explore the three main valleys (Shuzheng, Zechawa, Rize). You will have ample time to hike along the wooden boardwalks, marvel at the crystal-clear lakes (like Five Flower Lake and Long Lake), multi-tiered waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks. Overnight: Stay at a hotel near the valley entrance.
Morning: Drive to Huanglong Scenic Area (approx. 2-2.5 hours). Take the cable car up (recommended) to see the famous “Five-Color Ponds,” a series of travertine pools that look like a golden dragon winding through the forest. Afternoon: Transfer to Huanglongjiuzhai Station or Songpan Station. Evening: Take the High-Speed Train back to Chengdu. Transfer to your hotel.
Enjoy a full free day in Chengdu! You can sleep in, hunt for delicious hot pot, visit Taikoo Li for shopping, stroll through People’s Park to drink tea, or visit the Wuhou Shrine at your own pace. (Note: No guide or driver service today).
