Short on time? This highly efficient 2-day private tour allows you to experience the absolute best of Zhangjiajie without compromise. Designed for travelers who want to maximize their stay, this itinerary covers the two world-famous heavyweights: the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (the real-life “Avatar” mountains) and Tianmen Mountain. You will marvel at the sandstone pillars from the Bailong Elevator, hike the wild peaks of Yangjiajie, and walk the thrilling Glass Skywalk at Heaven’s Gate. It is a seamless, action-packed journey through China’s most surreal landscapes.
Upon arrival at Zhangjiajie, our driver picks you up and drives to the Forest Park East Gate. We ascend via the Bailong Elevator to Yuanjiajie to see the “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain.” Then, hike to Yangjiajie (known for its “Great Wall of Natural Rock”) and Tianzi Mountain for panoramic views. Take the cable car down. Option: If time permits, stroll along the Golden Whip Stream to see the monkeys and clear water; otherwise, take the eco-bus to the exit.
Morning: Enter via the South Gate, take the cable car up to Huangshi Village (the largest viewing platform), then descend and walk through the Golden Whip Stream to exit from the East Gate. Afternoon: Drive to the city for Tianmen Mountain. Take the long cable car (Line A) up to the summit. Brave the Glass Walkway, walk the Guigu Plank Road, and descend via the Trans-mountain Escalator to see the massive Tianmen Cave. Finally, take the fast cable car down and transfer to the station/hotel.
